Decanter World Wine Awards 2017
The Decanter World Wine Awards (DWWA) is the world’s largest and most influential wine competition. Judged by the top wine experts from around the globe, the DWWA is trusted internationally for its rigorous judging process. This year, both the wines we submitted won Silver medals. We have celebrated by popping a cork or two.
Ambriel Blanc de Blancs 2010
The Ambriel Blanc de Blancs 2010 is made from 100% chardonnay and scored 90 points. It was described as: ‘Smoke, herbs and floral notes on the nose. Palate is fresh with lots of citrusy acidity. Vibrancy and persistence last onto the finish’.
The Ambriel Classic which is 73% Chardonnay, 25% pinot Noir and 2% Pinot Meunier scored 92 points. Itwas described as ‘Crisp and vibrant dairy, cheese, ripe apple and superb yeasty complexity through to the finish with lively acidity and excellent concentration.’
