We have had a complete review of everything we do in the vineyard and winery, and everything our suppliers do, and everything our consumers do. We’ve totted it all up.
With the advice of those clever guys at Club Zero we have reduced our carbon footprint where we can.
Where we can’t, Club Zero has helped us offset it.
There’s a project in Laos that saves trees and provides clean drinking water. At the moment people burn trees in fires needed to boil dirty water to sterilise it. We need those trees to be doing what they do best – capturing carbon. We don’t want them burning in fires and polluting the atmosphere. So the project provides families with ceramic water filters instead which makes their water safe to drink.
So trees are saved. They keep on capturing carbon dioxide from the atmosphere. No fires means cleaner air. Families have safe water to drink.
Now isn’t that something to celebrate? We think so.
