Our new Ambriel Rosé 2015 has just won a silver medal. In its first outing, fresh out of the winery, Decanter World Wine Awards 2021 awarded it a silver.
‘Bright ripe strawberry and rhubarb aromas. Full and long with tangy, maturing flavours and a refreshing finish.’
Its simply mouth-watering.
Its vibrant rosehip colour shines like a jewel. We think its fantastic as an aperitif and perfect with fish and seafood.
Now for all you oeno-techie geeks out there, its a Traditional Method English Sparkling Rosé. The Pinot Noir bunches are hand-selected from a single, low-yielding Burgundian clone (777) from rows 2 – 39 of the East vineyard. Then for 36 hours the grapes macerate on their skins. This gives it its vibrant pink. We don’t press the grapes at all, Only the free run is fermented to become this succulent Rosé. The off it goes to sleep on the bottle lees for almost 5 years to develop a wonderful complexity.
So ‘Thank You!’ DWWA 2021. We will cherish our newest, shiniest bit of silver.
