‘A summer without Ambriel is no summer at all’ according to The Spectator. We agree. We Brits will make do without much sun, as long as the Summer has something delicious to sip.
Now that Summer is ready to go, so are we.
There’s no getting away from it, Summer 2021 so far has been unimpressive. Too Covid. Too damp. Too cloudy. Too joyless.
Finally, the sun has popped out, and is rumoured to be staying around for at least a couple of weeks. At last it is time to relax in its rays.
Jonathan Ray, wine editor for The Spectator, recommends the new Ambriel Rosé 2015 for Summer sipping:
‘With vineyards near Pulborough, West Sussex, Charles and Wendy Outhwaite make exceptional English sparklers and this brand new release is a corker. Made from 100 per cent Pinot Noir, it spent five years on the lees, is both fresh and weighty crammed with gloriously enticing red fruit.’
Yum.
So slap on sunscreen, slip on a sunhat, and sip our Sparkling Rosé.
